For some reason, humans are really into control. We want to know what is going to happen in our little worlds as well as those around us, all circumstances, and events that haven’t even happened yet. We want so many things to work out a certain way (which they don’t) and we get upset by the outcomes. Sometimes, really upset. We feel cheated, slighted and downright angry that life works out the way it does. It’s unfair all the way around. And we never seem to learn our lesson. Expectations seem to have a life of their own; they creep in all the time. You may begin a seemingly innocent outing in a great mood, only to be disappointed at some aspect and then your mood turns dark. People may even label you as “moody” when in fact it’s those pesky expectations wreaking havoc.
If we could all just learn to show up and accept life as it comes at us, we might be in better spirits and certainly be more present instead of running off with ideas of the outcomes of future happenings (which only serves as a distraction) and removes us from the now. Maybe we can let events play out naturally and embrace whatever that is. It’s just a little matter of wanting order, it seems, that keeps us from letting go. Is it possible to let things happen naturally? We must learn to catch ourselves before our expectations get the better of us and consume our thoughts. Easier said than done, right? Yes. But certainly a worthy goal if there ever was one. And with the uncertainty that exists in the universe today, isn’t it a good idea to at least try? Definately.
We need to take a hint from nature and follow a bee. Have you ever watched a bee? They buzz from one flower to the next (probably hoping for pollen more than expecting it to be there), take what pollen that is available and move on, happily it seems until they get their fill and then return to the hive to make a deposit and rest, ready to buzz another day. Cool little instructor if you ask me.
The good news is that there is ONE aspect of your life that you can control and that is what you feed your body. Living food is the only choice worth making to take exceptional care of yourself, knowing the outcome will be health, vitality and longevity. No question about it, a plant-based diet will enhance your life in so many areas. You will look great, feel better than ever and maybe be less inclined to insist that life play out a certain way-maybe. A peace will settle over you and you will proceed with a calm demeanor, accepting life as it comes at you at least more often than not.
